  Disappointing

  Liked: The location and the garden and green surrounding the house

  Disliked: The smell of the house was terrible, a strong humidity and the smell of bathroom sewers. The duvets smelled old, and the shutters wouldn't close properly. The windows couldn’t be used as tilt-and-turn windows to ventilate the air in the house. Finally, it wasn't easy to find the house, which is in a beautiful area, but the host was super responsive and help us (thanks). A tiny tips, maybe just write in the description that the street entrance is opposite the Rustic Lodge restaurant.

  Liked: Very nice position, as it is very easy to reach the entrances for Plitvice lakes. The apartment is settled on a cozy hill and you have gardens and fields all around. You can also enjoy the calm and relax outside. Never meet the owner but had the chance to talk with him via WhatsApp, he was kind and gave us suggestions for restaurants. You can check-in and check out by yourself. I would say that 4 people are the max capacity the flat has, and for us it was perfect.

  Disliked: Beds are not very comfortable, bathroom is very tiny and the house is sufficiently clean. I specified that we had our dog (40kg) with us and appearently, according to its weight, the fee for dog stay could vary. At the end we agreed for €20.

  Comfortable apartment in a lovely location and setting, although listed pictures not particularly accurate

  Liked: Great location within walking distance of the national park. The property had a nice and large garden and was set back from the road, with outdoor seating and roof area with a view. The worker on site and booking manager were very kind and professional, and went out of their way to make our stay better- thank you both. A good base for hiking in the park and exploring this lovely area.

  Disliked: We were disappointed by the appearance of the flat relative to the pictures on the listing. Of course there is often leeway although for this property the differences were noticeable enough that we had to complain to the owner. The bathroom is similar but not the same as the picture, the bedrooms are fine but not as nice, and the kitchen, which is not pictured, is perfectly usable but nothing more than a kitchenette. Unfortunately I found the owners response to me quite rude, and didn’t offer any apologies but told us we wouldn’t find anywhere with the same square footage for the price which I found unprofessional. They did however offer free use of the barn for some of our stay which we are grateful for and enjoyed, this is normally €80 per day.
