  Beautiful and welcoming

  Liked: Great location and beautiful surroundings. Dinner delicious. Staff kind and helpful.

  Disliked: I unknowingly booked a lodge with the bedroom upstairs. Death staircase was steep and narrow. My husband and I got to throwing clothes and things down the stairs versus taking our lives in our hands. Upstairs hot and downstairs freezing. Could of built a fire but we are not boy scouts

  Some inconvenience but the immersion in nature is worth it

  Liked: Beautiful fall scenery. Quiet (away from traffic and crowd). Immersed in nature. Helpful staff. Cabin with almost new beautifully decorated interior. Proximity to the falls.

  Disliked: No reception area near the entry gate. No smooth surface to roll suitcases; need to lift them all the way to the room. Confusion as to whether you need to buy a park ticket to get to the resort.

  Charming cottage village setting. Not your typical hotel/motel

  Liked: One of the things to be aware of is this is about a 2.5 mile single wide or 1.5 car wide road that has no lights. Please be careful. Look at the billboard before walking up the pathway to verify the office reception area is the 2nd building on the left. Not the 1st. There are no signs to show the office/reception when you walk up the main path. It was dark and we were thinking about getting to our room, so our fault. The place has many lodge type of buildings that have multiple rooms in each or perhaps their larger ones had multiple rooms. We had a large studio. These are very well laid out and nicely decorated for the type of settings. The pathways are stones with spaces in between. Not best for rolling large luggage pieces. The ambiance of the dining area was very charming. Plenty of nice selections of small buffet choices and you can order egg selection via the menu. The place also serves dinner. My wife loved the fish! This place has charm! Staff is helpful in that our rental car battery died! Not fun, but it all worked out.

  Great base for exploring the lakes

  Liked: Large rooms and lots with multiple bedrooms. Went in the summer and easy distance from the entrance to the lakes.

  Disliked: Food could have been better in the restaurant, but we were not there for fine dining!

  Location near the waterfalls & local knowledge of nearby hiking trails was fantastic!

  Liked: Beautiful room. Staff and food were excellent.

  Disliked: We reserved the spa one afternoon after hiking all day. The sauna was excellent, but the hot tub was just luke warm. Still, having it available was very much appreciated.
