  Good base from which to explore Bayonne

  Liked: Good location, walking distance to centre, university and Bayonne rugby stadium. Nice views of river, staff very helpful, comfortable clean room. Very close to bus stops.

  Disliked: Going down for breakfast with 30 mins of service to go and finding no scrambled egg or bacon left in the hot food containers. Swimming pool closed throughout our stay due to polluted water.

  Liked: Lovely room, we went for an upgrade that was available at check in, lovely location by the river, easy to walk into the main part of the old town with lots of restaurants and shops. Comfortable room and the team on reception are very friendly and helpful. We opted for the secure parking which is always very helpful.

  Adequate hotel in Bayonne

  Liked: Perfectly adequate large hotel for our one-night stay. Riverside location. Restaurants within a short walk.

  Disliked: This felt like rather a corporate hotel. With no free breakfast, and a charge for parking, this put a dent in the value.
