Very good
Liked: The location was excellent, so close to all the shops and restaurants etc.
Disliked: The bedroom was quite cold as I could not get the heater to work. And the shower was so tiny and cramped, that I didn't use it.
Liked: Location is amazing. The staff and hotel itself were fantastic
You will step back in time at Hotel le Vieux Carre
Liked: We stayed at Hotel le Vieux Carre because it was recommended by Rick Steves. His observation that the 12-room establishment is "adorabale and humble" is spot-on. While it may not have five-star comfort or amenities, you will feel like you stepped back in time as soon as you enter their leafy, half-timbered courtyard leading to the front door. The reception and adjacent dining area for breakfast are extremely cozy, and since you are in the heart of the historic downtown center, everything is within close walking distance. The staff went above and beyond the call of duty. We didn't realize the Hertz office would be closed when we dropped off our rental car, and we couldn't find a local taxi company with English-speaking employees. The nightime receptionist agreed to call a taxi for us, thereby saving us a half-hour walk with two heavy suitcases. When the taxi driver pulled a no-show the morning of our departure, the lovely daytime receptionist arranged for another staff member to drive us to the train station in her private car. Although we still missed our scheduled train to Paris, it wasn't for lack of effort on their part. TIP: for a few more euros, buy a ticket that is good for the entire day instead of being nonrefundable.
Great location and quaint
Liked: Great location and although parking was paid for, it was at a reduced rate close by. Very friendly staff. The entrance looks just like a small iron gate, until you get inside; very quaint. Would stay again
Disliked: Breakfast was okay, but not much selection.
Fun and colourful
Liked: So very central and had so much character!
Disliked: Room small but expected that for being in the centre of the old town -
Although it was very corky hotel, it had a real old French charm from the wonderful staff to the creaking Floors!
Liked: Great location, staff was very friendly, the restaurant, mostly the location and the historical building
Disliked: Small rooms, slanted ceiling, low water pressure, very few outlets, worn out towels, micro pillows and old bed, but u get for what u pay. For
