  Do not bother, stay somewhere else

  Liked: Leaving.

  Disliked: It was very dated, had a very odd layout. The room was very uninviting and not at all comfortable or relaxing, particularly when travelling alone. There was no room service option so I had to go out late alone to collect food. The staff barely noticed me on check out. I book Mercure because you usually know the standard to expect and when travelling alone it is nice to know you will be somewhere comfortable, this was a huge disappointment.

  Very disappointed, definitely NOT 4 star

  Liked: Secure underground parking, albeit for 15 euros per night.

  Disliked: Zero atmosphere. If you wanted a pizza or a drink, it was the reception desk that provided it. We used the restaurant at the Novotel 100m away, which was good. Noise from the railway constant, and so moved to a ‘street’ room which had noise from very loud pedestrians through an open double glazed window that we couldn’t shut!!

  Central hotel that needs a serious refit

  Liked: Central location, easy access to all major attractions.

  Disliked: Not 4* by any stretch of the imagination. Dirty fittings. Hotel is very dated and needs a huge revamp.

  Good value for money, friendly and helpful professional staff

  Liked: Breakfast was varied, plentiful and fresh.

  Disliked: Some sort of milk to accompany the refreshments in the room. Otherwise, the choice of beverages provided was good.
