  Great central location for exploring Baden Baden

  Liked: This hotel has an excellent location in the heart of Baden Baden. Right in the middle of the core restaurant action. Nice, big room with a comfortable bed. There's a very popular restaurant on the main floor of the building if you don't want to walk too far. The buffet breakfast was excellent and was served at a restaurant across the street.

  Disliked: The WiFi was free but it was fairly weak in our room on the 3rd floor. There was no front desk so you need to hunt for the staff when you get there. We found them in the first floor restaurant's kitchen. Also, at check out there was no staff to be found so we left the key in the room.

  Liked: Very nice location, clean and confortable. Right in the middle of action. You can reach any important place of Baden Baden in a few minutes just walking.

  Disliked: The room has the window oriented towards an inner shaft (low natural light). In the restroom the WC seat is very high and uncomfortable:(

  Disliked: We mistakenly didn't realize it wasn't reserved for children. We had two children under 6 with us. When we arrived, they told us we had to pay extra. They took the tax and then charged us an additional 80 euros. I checked Booking.com and the reservation with children was 10 euros more than the reservation I had. As for the staff, none of them were helpful or accommodating. The only good thing about the hotel was its location.

  Not what I was expecting

  Liked: The location is excellent. Very central. The bed and pillows are comfortable.

  Disliked: There was no baby bed even when I booked with a 3 month and a 2 year old kid. At the end, they were able to make a small sofa-bed in the room, but very uncomfortable. The heating was not working the second night. The bad room shower had fungus on the wall and the hot water was not constant, sometimes very hot and the next second cold. For the price, I would expect something else.
