  Liked: The location was good, quiet residential area around 20 min walk to the centre. Came with everything you would need

  Disliked: I went to a laundrette while I was there, it would have been handy to have a clothes horse to dry them on. The main thing I didn’t like was the cleaner arrived at 9:45 (before check out) and knocked on the door enquiring when I would be leaving, although she couldn’t speak English and I couldn’t speak enough German to understand. So an awkward phone call later it was explained I needed at least 15 mins more to finish loading the car

  Would love to come back in the future!!

  Liked: Everything exceeded our expectations. Very large area, quiet neighbourhood and near the pool. At walking distance of a few hikes as well.

  Disliked: They could add more utensils in the kitchen. We were missing oven mitts, oven dishes and oven trays to cook faster and safer.

  Better for older children

  Liked: Good access to local buses, spacious, responsive host, very comfortable bed

  Disliked: Slippery bathroom floors, lots of steps or steep hills to get to the property and then steps down to the apartment so not very buggy friendly. A good find but better suited for families with older children (non-buggy or cot using)

  An enjoyable stay in a well-presented apartment

  Liked: The apartment was just right for us, in a residential area not too far from the Weststadt shopping area. It was important to us that we were able to bring our dog. The apartment was in good condition, with its furniture and furnishings looking reasonably new. The kitchen was fairly well equipped for a short stay and everything worked! The week we spent there was very hot but the apartment always felt pleasantly cool. Parking at the apartment was easy for us - there was always a free space in the available parking. Baden-Baden is well situated to explore the Black Forest, which is beautiful - with drives and walks through stunning countryside, villages and towns.

  Disliked: For a stay of a week, only two electric rings wasn't quite enough for cooking. Although there was enough crockery, glasses and cutlery, it was a bit of a shame that the two wine glasses available were completely different sizes! A matching pair would have been better. The small garden was fine for our dog to wander around but it would have been a bit dangerous for unattended children, as there was a steep fall at the end. It looks as if work is in hand to add a better protected patio at the end of the garden. The garden was a bit scruffy too, though that didn't worry us.
