  It was funky, eccentric and friendly

  Liked: They were generous with advice, and helped arrange a taxi to the airport when we left.

  Disliked: There could have been less construction work going on during our stay! (Tho not at night, so not a real disturbance.) They could have supplied shampoo and a hair dryer, tho when I asked for a dryer, they gave me one.

  Charming retro gem right next to KaDeWe!

  Liked: Great location and unique charm! This nice pension is located just next to K-Damm, making it perfect for shopping and exploring. The entire place is full of wonderful old-time nostalgia, offering a cozy and charming atmosphere you won't find in modern hotels.

  Disliked: While you cannot compare this place to brand-new modern hotels and the older surface materials are quite noticeable at first, it did not bother me at all. The hotel was actually really nice and everything was very clean.

  For the duration of my stay I felt transported back to the Berlin of the 1920s!

  Liked: Art deco and 1920s feel, clean room and bathroom, excellent location (central yet quiet), friendly staff, abundant breakfast options. Staff helped me with carrying the suitcase down the stairs and once I even got to ride in the historic elevator.

  Disliked: I had to wait a little bit before the room was ready, but I was able to relax on the sunny balcony adjacent to the breakfast room while waiting, so the waiting wasn't so bad, after all!

  Nostalgic hotel with friendly personnel

  Liked: The hotel is situated in the old apartment of actress Asta Nielsen. The hotel halfway is filled with memorabilia of this and has its own style. It is a really old apartment, but clean and well maintained. Also very friendly personnel. I had booked a small room with shared bathroom. Therefore the room was small, but also what is suitable for 1 person. If you like nostalgics, then this is a good place to go.
