    Fine for 1 night

Liked: Good location, quiet spot. Luggage storage. Complimentary water in teh room and little glass of sweets.

Disliked: The hotel is quite dated, especially the shower, and the rooms are very small. No luggage storage or rest. Coffee maker but only powdered milk.

Amazing hotel with wonderful helpful staff

Liked: We stayed at the Leonardo Royal Alexanderplatz as a family for a weekend in Berlin and can’t fault it. Our room was amazing and every member of staff we met was helpful. The bar is lovely, with comfortable seating, and we enjoyed relaxing there after long days exploring the city’s WW2 and Cold War history, all within easy reach of Alexanderplatz. We would stay here again and recommend it to any family visiting Berlin.

    Deceptive practices, please beware

Liked: Convenient location, walkable all around with a grocery store nearby & tram line some minutes away from the hotel. The room was comfortable and updated with a smart TV. Breakfast starts early at 0630 hours.

Disliked: Deceptive practice of giving you the wrong room intentionally. For this trip, I had booked the Comfort Double room. Unfortunately after a long journey to Berlin, I did not catch on immediately. When I did realise the next morning, I went to the concierge to ask and they admitted to having given me a Comfort Single room. Instead of apologising for the mistake, concierge asked if my concern was the size of the bed, because it shows I was travelling alone - insinuating that I did not need a double room, and also reflecting that this was done on purpose. Staying alone should not automatically allow them to downgrade your room type and not give you what you paid for.

    Pleasant stay, irritating automated services

Liked: Overall, a very pleasant stay, with a comfortable and well-designed room.

Disliked: The excessive, unsolicited automated communication before arrival: nine emails, including six reminders about an optional online check-in (requiring me to entrust my ID details to a third-party platform) and two invitations to bid for a paid room upsell marketed as an "upgrade". On top of that, an unsolicited WhatsApp message raised security concerns, given the prevalence of hotel booking scams. I choose hotels partly for the human interaction and personal service, so I do not appreciate the relentless push towards digital self-service and AI.

Large hotel with good rooms and location

Liked: Great room, as advertised- junior suite. Very clean and super comfortable bed. Parking was a bonus as we had a car. Tea coffee facilities in the room was great Love the wooden floors instead of carpet as felt cleaner

Disliked: We couldn’t get out the parking garage as the reception staff member promised to open the garage door but forgot, so we were left down there 15 minutes and no buzzer or way to contact reception. I had to run back up and remind him and then run down quick enough so the door didn’t shut on me - all a bit stressful and could be avoided if he had remembered! Long queues to check out. Not enough toilet rolls had to ask for more The tablet in hotel room didn’t work for ordering room service so had to call using phone after wasting time on the tablet, but room service feature on phone didn’t work either!
