    Liked: Nothing

Disliked: The worst stay of my whole life!!!‼️‼️‼️‼️ First of all when we arrived we couldn’t get in because we found out that at the áentrance there are safes with codes where the keys of your room are, but we didn’t get an email, in advance, with the safe number nor the code. So we tried calling the hosts but they didn’t answear and they even declined one of our calls and didn’t even return it back. We tried emailing them and messaging them through booking but they didn’t reply to that either. After contacting booking support many times for over an hour and filing a complaint we finally got an email from the hosts with the safe code for our keys. Second of all the cleaner came after 3p.m. while we were trying to reach the booking support, he tried helping us reaching the hosts but was unsuccessful as well. The check-in was at 3p.m. tho, so our room wasn’t ready until 4:30 p.m. Third of all when our room was finally ready it was visibly unclean, the floor was sticky, our table wasn’t even wiped and it was overall dirty and stinky. And the lamp wasn’t functional. The bathroom was in the cellar and when we went to the toilet there were 💩stains(as you can see in the foto). The whole place was very unsettling, the walls were paper thin and it had just one window (if i exclude a painting of window overlooking a forest) that wasn’t even overlooking outside but into the hall and it was so high that we had to use a ladder to open/close it(as you can see in the foto). The whole room was pretty claustrophobic because of lack of natural lighting. The only ceiling light there was, was pretty weak as well. We could hear every car, train, ambulance that was passing the nearest streets. If I could give this zero stars I would, unfortunately I can’t!!!‼️‼️‼️‼️

    Acceptable for the price

Liked: Great location. Cheap for Berlin.

Disliked: No Windows so it felt stuffy inside. The towels are the size of tea towels and very old. Bring your own.

Read the fineprint! It's as comfortable as expected for the price

Liked: The staff was very friendly.

Disliked: You have to read the fine print! The room didn't have a window nor AC, so it was like 30° inside. Shared bathrooms and shower, both windowless, in the basement. Everything was either shabby and old or of very cheap quality. The mattress felt more like a rock and the bunk bed was extremely high (so definitely nothing if you're not comfortable climbing or want to get out of bed fast). I was caught by the low price, but unfortunately it was, as expected, too good to be true. If you need a place with a roof where you can sleep for a night it'll do, otherwise a bench in the park is probably about as comfortable but for free. Also, it took a lot of afterwards legwork, to get an invoice, although all the information was sent over already prior to the stay.

Great location for a decent stay

Liked: Very close to the main U+S Bahn lines and close to Alexaderplatz and Museum Island. The facility was overall clean and even though the shower room and toilet were shared, there were enough to guarantee at least one or two free rooms were available at all times. Keys available through safebox that makes things easier for late check-in in case of tight flights schedule.

Disliked: A bit overpriced compared to the building and furniture, but considering it was a room for two (bunk beds) it might be OK. A few things to fix overall, but everything was functioning. Communication is not very prompt and some texts were in German, eventually managed to check-in at a late hour. Mattresses may need to be changed not because of cleaning problems, but because they were not very comfortable.
