  Liked: Location, facilities and cleanliness. The place is secured and having an underground parking with elevators is perfect.

  Good location just off the city centre, plush accommodation

  Liked: Suite was huge, felt very spacious and comfortable, particularly the bed. Good internet. Everything necessary was there - we prepared food in the kitchen a couple of times. We had the continental breakfast which was also good with a rooftop panoramic view. The staff were extremely friendly, smiley, engaging and helpful, bringing up a range of flower vases when requested, delivering print-outs to the room, and general help for visiting the city - special shout out for the superb Ati. Even through it was an apartment suite, the room was refreshed every day. Located in Mitte, it is well positioned 25 minutes walk to either the Brandenberg gate or museum island and the Berlin Mall is just down the road. A few minutes walk from a large supermarket, and also right next to the Stadtmitte metro station. Plenty of restaurants around, with a Bavarian one a few steps from the door in the covered courtyard. We had an after hours late check-in, but everything was ready with the security guard to get us into our room. Very good off-season deal. I would go back.

  I would choose the Mandala Hotel vs Mandala Suites

  Liked: We had originally stayed at the Mandala Hotel on Potsdammerstraße near Potsdamerplatz (which is far better - a regular hotel) and made the error in our booking at the end of our trip back to Berlin to stay in the same hotel. I mistakenly chose the Mandala Suites thinking it was the same location. Not the end of the world, but having seen both, the Mandala Hotel is far better for a conventional hotel experience. The Mandala Suites feels more like an Airbnb. There is no hotel staff after 5pm on weekends and 7pm or thereabouts on weekdays. Not optimal.

  Disliked: That I made a mistake and cost the wrong Mandala. The facilities are not as great. The staff at the Mandala Suites are excellent and bend over backwards to help so that is a definite plus in its favour. There is no comparison in the breakfast offering if that is of important to people booking.

  Great location — Easy to explore city

  Liked: Breakfast was ok. Same every day (I was there for a wk) but the staff was super. Dining area was spacious and had a nice view. It was nice to have a restaurant downstairs in the building.

  Disliked: Breakfast. Even a variety of eggs (not just boiled) would have been welcome.

  Great room in heart of Berlin!

  Liked: Huge room, with ample bathroom, bedroom/living room, small kitchenette area and closet. Our room also had a nice outdoor balcony. Great water pressure and never ran out of hot water.

  Disliked: The elevator was a bit slow. That is really the only thing I can give any sort of negative feedback about.
