  We would not recommend this apartment - misleading Guest policy & difficult to contact host

  Liked: The kitchen was well appointed except for a broken toaster and lack of a freezer in the fridge. The apartment was clean and secure and the general area quiet.

  Disliked: We have travelled in a number of European countries over the last 6 years, generally staying in apartments reserved through Booking.com. When we arrived at the apartment we expected to find "Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed)" as stated under the Apartment's policies (Guest parking) on Booking.com. What we found was free street parking only on a one way street with cars parked on either side. It was clear that "Guest parking" was clearly not "private" since there were no private parking spots on the street allocated only to the Apartment's guests. Secondly, there was no parking "on site"; i.e. on property owned by the Apartment owner, next to the apartment, Thirdly, the statement that a "reservation is not needed" is foolish since a reservation for a street parking spot is not possible. We feel we were misled by the Apartment host's "Guest parking" policy. During our two night stay we were unable to contact the host by phone since our only option was to "leave a message". Messages sent via Booking.com were not responded to quickly and questions asked were sometimes ignored. We also had a problem with a poorly draining shower. Getting help required a call to Booking.com. The host arranged for a caretaker to come by the apartment around 17:30. He came, found a problem, had to leave to buy a part, returned, installed a part and said the problem was fixed. Next morning we found there still to be a problem with water drainage in the shower stall. The final issue was with the TV. There were no instructions on operating the TV or the auxiliary sound system. After numerous emails we finally were able to turn the TV and sound system on but the host could not tell us how to change the channel. The host had left a binder in a drawer with operating manuals for the apartments appliances.

  More than you can expected

  Liked: The property was amazing. Decorations, style of apartment. Amazing place. Everything that you need for a short stay or even a long time.

  Disliked: Noise under the apartment or near the apartment from the bedroom side. It was hard to sleep because of the people living there or the loud talk at midnight, laughing and other stuff. At least it was on the weekend(Saturday) that day was hardly slept 🙈
