Liked: Nice clean room, good breakfast, nice spot of the hotel at the Alster river
Disliked: No water kettle in the room, but provided after. Room in the basement, no view
Amazing stay in Hamburg
Liked: We had an amazing stay. The location was excellent, with a beautiful view facing the lake. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Special thanks to Felechia from Nigeria and the Romanian lady at the restaurant — they made us feel completely at home. We are also very grateful to the receptionist who helped us carry our bags on the first night when the lift was under maintenance (it was repaired the following day). Breakfast was very good as well. Overall, a wonderful experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Disliked: Breakfast was very good as well. The only drawback was the lack of air conditioning. This would make a stay quite difficult during heat waves. Fortunately, we arrived right after a heat wave had passed, so it did not affect us. Overall, a wonderful experience that we thoroughly enjoyed.
Highly recommend this lovely hotel
Liked: The location by the lake, away from the city centre but within walking distance, was perfect for me. The room was fabulous, with nice decor and furniture and everything you need, including a desk and a safe, and a pretty garden view. A secure parking area for my bicycle was an extra bonus. The staff were available 24 hrs and were nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was also great.
Disliked: The only minor issue was that noise carried from the reception area to my room along the corridor on the ground floor so that I was woken early by the normal conversation of daytime staff arriving in the morning. They were not loud but I am a light sleeper. Next time, I will ask for room upstairs.
