Excellent option for a short trip to Hamburg

Liked: Located in the center of the historic Speicherstadt. Walking distance to most interesting locations in Hamburg. Good connection to most other places by bus. Splendid view on the fleet directly from the hotel room!

Disliked: While the room amenities are nicely selected and high standard, the quality of the pillows is rather poor.

Liked: The location was super good. The location and the comfort of the room. Clean and bright

Disliked: The only thing which was totally conflicting with all positive part of the hotel was the staff at the reception. They weren’t friendly, helpful and with an unfriendly attitude especially the ones the day I was checking out. I had requested to have a taxi at 11:55, I was at reception 11:50 and when I asked if the taxi arrived, they told me he came and left already and asked me to check at the door if he is still there. I was surprised not to be informed that the driver was there but more surprised with their attitude.

  Lovely!

Liked: The rooms were spacious and immaculately well-kept. Everything was clean and in great order. I appreciated that despite the open bathroom concept the toilets were separated by an extra door. The service was lovely, breakfast was full of options, including freshly prepared dishes like pancakes and eggs.

Disliked: The breakfast room got a little crowded at times. There seems to be a mismatch between the number of guests accommodated through rooms and those that can comfortably fit the breakfast room. Also, the TV kept turning itself on every time you entered your room even if it had been switched off when you'd left, so that led to the occasional scare with respect to the sudden noise in my room. Not a feature I see any use in, really just very irritating.

  Convenient location and picturesque views

Liked: The location is excellent and the view was perfect, scenic and quiet. I also like that there is a terrace facing the water.

Disliked: It really annoyed me that the ventilation cannot be switched off completely. I hate air blowing at me.
