  Small and dingy

  Liked: The location.

  Disliked: The room was very cramped and small. The bathroom was stuck in a corner and the toilet almost impossible to use in such a tiny space. We had to use the hotel's public toilets. The sheets had blood stains on it.

  Comfortable and convenient

  Liked: Perfect location near the train station. I only spent one night but had a good sleep, nice quiet room. Good shower.

  Liked: Excellent location right opposite main train station and also opposite tourist bus stop. Varied food choices closeby, really excellent Chinese 50m down side street. Single room not large but arranged well so comfortable stay. Good lift. Hotel has character but well maintained and pleasing surroundings Efficient welcoming staff.

  Disliked: Being a station and main road, traffic could be noisy but I sleep late so not a problem for me. Expensive compared to other parts of Germany but in line with other places in Hamburg.

  I will stay here again!

  Liked: The staff were nice, the room was sparkling clean, the location is perfect right across from the Bahnhoff. The room was very small, but had everything you needed—that is, a bed a chair and a desk. There is a little table for your phone next to the bed with electricity and also electricity by the desk for your computer. The bathroom was relatively large for the size of the room. I gave only an eight instead of a 10 because it was spartan, my room looked out only on an alley with a glimpse of the Hauptbahnhof, and the shower was small. It may have been awkward for a person larger than myself. However, I was very happy and had everything that I needed. If you need to stay overnight in Hamburg to catch an early plane, this is so much better than the very expensive and impersonal hotel at the airport.

  Will use again for a stop over by the station

  Liked: Very convenient, right opposite Hamburg Hbf. Friendly staff. Great value for money. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast.Excellent for a 1 night stay near station.

  Disliked: Decor had a few marks, could do with a refresh, but for the price it doesn’t really matter. A bit confusing to find the way round inside.
