Staff in this hotel are amazing, kind, nice and helpful, hotel was clean and very welcoming

Liked: Hotel was lovely, only thing missing was a kettle in the room so I could not make tea or coffee, which is very unusual for a hotel,

Disliked: No kettle in the room The noise of the wardrobes - basically like mini steel containers and they were noisy when people were opening and closing them

  Newly refurbished quality hotel

Liked: Check-in was a little confused over twin bed Vs double bed but it was quickly sorted out as most rooms seem to have a fold out sofa bed so I think any room can be made into a twin room. Once checked in the rooms we had (one on the 2nd floor, one on the top) we pretty luxurious and well decorated. Older reviews seemed to suggest the hotel needed refurbishment... It looks as though this has happened as both our rooms looked very freshly decorated. Decor in room is themed on ports and shipping containers which is entertaining though the shipping container-style doors on the wardrobe and 'fridge were a little awkward at times. We weren't disturbed by any noise, even with the windows open. Downstairs there's a decent bar - we didn't try dinner but breakfast, though expensive, included everything you could want in an all-you-can-eat buffet. It's about 20 mins walk from the Hbf and town centre, so not the most central We'd happily stay again in this grand building
