  Liked: Host did not communicate the instructions for checking and it is likely that he or she forgot about the booking. We had to find something else in emergency. Highly doesn’t recommend.

  Disliked: The host called us 4 hours after the planned check in. No English at all. We couldn’t stay at this place

  Liked: A very pleasant, clean place in one of the most beloved districts of Hamburg. Very convenient location — just a couple of minutes to the metro, and several stops to the city center without transfers. It feels like a small, cozy town of its own, with greenery, private houses, and birds singing. We were lucky to be the only guests on our floor, so the bathroom was always at our disposal. Special thanks for maintaining silence in the house. There is a kitchen downstairs where you can prepare food. The host is warm and welcoming. The room is very clean. It’s small, but there was enough space for everything. There is a desk, a fridge, and a kettle. I’d like to note that the mattress is very soft — if you have back problems and are used to sleeping on something very firm, this mattress will most likely not suit you. There is heating in the room, which can be turned off if needed. Overall, we are very satisfied and would gladly come back again.

  Quiet and convenient private accommodation

  Liked: We had a bright and airy room with a balcony. The room and house feel very welcoming. The location is close to the metro and busses, yet very quiet at night. We highly recommend this accommodation for anyone wishing to stay in the northern suburbs of Hamburg.

  Great location, beautiful villa. Leave your bags at your risk after checkout

  Liked: Beautiful villa very close to the station. The room and bathroom is big enough with all the facilities.

  Disliked: The owner looked surprised when we arrived, perhaps they’d forgotten our booking. After checkout, we left our bags in the common area and told the owner we’d return around 4:00 p.m. When we came back at 4, we rang the bell and called the listed numbers, but no one answered. Fortunately, a neighbor helped us and we barely made it to the station in time for our train. The owner seems to speak only German, so maybe there was a misunderstanding about the pickup time even though I signaled “4” with my fingers and she agreed. Bottom line: leave your bags at your own risk and confirm the plan with the owner multiple times. Also, the bedsheets were old and rough and should be replaced.

  Disappointing

  Disliked: The host showed very poor communication skills, empathy, and flexibility. We were asked to pay an additional fee in CASH at the property, without any prior notice. Since we didn’t have cash or a physical card, we offered to pay by card or Revolut, but the host refused and spoke to us in aggressive manner. The toilet and bathroom are shared with 6 people, with no shampoo or soap in bathroom. There was also no coffee maker. Guests are expected to leave the room in the exact same condition as when they arrived, including washing glasses and cleaning before leaving, which does not feel like a proper hotel service. Unfortunately, the host’s attitude towards Iranians was not good.
