  Great location but too expensive

Liked: Very close to train station and also located in quiet street, no traffic noise. Breakfast is not too expensive with good quality and very nice breakfast room.

Disliked: A bathroom that smells like sewage. Very expensive room for its quality. Noisy housekeeping in the morning.

A Very Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend

Liked: Good location to most places, and public transportation. Quite room.

Disliked: I booked a stay at Vienna House Easy by Wyndham Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, only to discover, without having received any prior notification, that the hotel had changed its name and was now operating as B&B Hotel Hamburg Hbf, a 3-star hotel. I only found out about this the day before my arrival. To make sure my reservation was still valid, I contacted the new hotel and asked them to confirm my booking. Unfortunately, I received no response. Upon arrival, there was confusion regarding my reservation, although the staff eventually managed to find it and assign me a room. Unfortunately, the room was not as clean as it should have been. Since it was already late in the evening, I decided not to make an issue of it at the time. The following morning, I discovered that the showerhead was partially broken and that body lotion had been provided instead of shower gel. Needless to say, this did not make for a pleasant start to the day. However, what really made the experience unacceptable was the atmosphere during breakfast. The staff appeared to be having a rather heated discussion, openly using expressions such as “shit hotel” and telling each other to “complain to the manager” — all while guests, including myself, were sitting there trying to enjoy their breakfast. This was extremely unprofessional and made me feel very uncomfortable. Overall, this was a thoroughly disappointing stay, from the lack of communication about the hotel’s change of name and the uncertainty surrounding my booking to the condition of the room and the unprofessional behaviour of the staff.
