An excellent break on route back to UK

Liked: Nice room with a lovely view. Good breakfast and pleasant staff. Free car parking and striking building.

Disliked: Cumbersome check in, having to put in all our own passport and other details on an iPad ourselves after a very long drive to get there. Being shown to an unmade room although we did get an upgrade as a result. Three course set meal was ok but a bit busy for my taste, too many things going on and very rich sauces. Light configuration in the rooms complicated, you’d need a week to suss it out and felt 40 euros for a two hour extension to check out was a bit steep. Swimming pool and sauna area was disappointing, did not get to sample spa area or treatments.

Way too warm room, cleaning service not acceptable, terrace full of bees

Liked: View from the room, terrace and pool

Disliked: Bees at the terrace, way too warm room with airco that could NOT be set under 20 degrees!, room cleaning service knocking the door way too many times in the morning before 11am, really not acceptable in a 5 star hotel!!! Super annoying!
