Neat and Clean No Frills Centrally Located Hotel in Koblenz
Liked: The owner provided us with parking right outside the hotel without any charge which was a lovely gesture. The room was neat and clean. And the location was right by the Deutsches Eck and an easy walk to the old town. The breakfast spread was good - the make your own waffles were delicious!
Disliked: The sheets could have been softer and the towels could have also been better. We needed a dinner option close to the hotel as our 8 year old was feeling a bit under the weather and the restaurant that the hotel recommended was below average, which was a bit disappointing!
Grand view of the Rhine and Fortress
Liked: Lovely view from the balcony of the Rhine and Festung Ehrenbreitstein. We safely and securely stored our bicycles overnight at the hotel.

Liked: Location was almost good.
Disliked: This stay was a complete disappointment and a total waste of money. First of all, the prices were ridiculously inflated. I had to book last minute, and this was my only nearby option; a weakness they clearly exploit. They market themselves as a "luxury" experience, but the property is far from it. Despite charging extortionate rates, they tried to squeeze another €20 out of me for breakfast without showing an ounce of hospitality or empathy, even after seeing how exhausted I was upon arrival. For what I paid, basic comfort and breakfast should have been a bare minimum. The room conditions were unacceptable. There was no air conditioning, making the room uncomfortably hot and stuffy. On top of that, the property feels outdated and poorly maintained… I had an insect trapped in the room buzzing around my head all night, which made sleeping impossible. Next day, I had to work and there was simply no place to do it, as the breakfast area is together with their “lobby” and reserved for paying costumers. A simple Airbnb I stayed in a week later offered far better comfort and quality for a fraction of the price. If you are paying over €100 a night, you should at least expect basic cleanliness, climate control, and decent service. Sadly, none of those were present here. Please stay away if you value quality.
