Liked: Location and quirky, authentic vibe, and there is a surprising view of the Marienkirche from your bed

Disliked: Squeaky and sloping floor, low ceiling (kept hitting our heads on the light shade) and being able to hear the people in the downstairs apartment, but

  Terrible

  Liked: Nothing

Disliked: We had a truly terrible experience. The check-out rules were completely unclear and inconsistent. We were simply instructed to “leave the key in a visible place inside the apartment,” so we did exactly that. As a result, we ended up trapped between the apartment and the building entrance at 7 AM, unable to exit. The keys were locked inside, and we couldn’t open the main door from the inside. Even though a downstairs neighbor was awake, they refused to open the door. The apartment itself was old and visibly tilted, giving the constant impression that you might fall while walking inside. Don’t be fooled by the good location—it’s not worth the stress or risk. Poor management completely ruins the experience. Avoid at all costs
