Nice location, nice people, but I would not stay there again

Liked: The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The location is good

Disliked: We had two single rooms. One was on the ground floor, just near reception. There is no sound isolation. We could hear everything what happened in the lobby. In addition, there is a restoration next door, so very noisy. My friend could not sleep until midnight. On the first floor, in the second room, we could not hear the lobby, but the noise from the restaurant was there. There is no coffe machine in the room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lübeck is an interesting place to visit, and staying at this hotel only made our visit t

Liked: An interesting, historic place to stay. We enjoyed a great room on the main floor. It is centrally located. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Disliked: We enjoyed the historic building and its inner courtyard. Travelers looking for modern, air-conditioned facilities may want to look elsewhere (e.g., across the river). Charging for all the items in the refrigerator seemed nickel and dime given how much we were paying for the stay. However, this is not unusual for hotels.
