  For one or two nights was great, too small for a longer stay. Nice people though

  Liked: Historical hotel, dated and slanting but in a quaint way. Excellent location. Close to historical sights and lots of restaurants.

  Disliked: Minor inconvenience, room was not ready at check in time. Internet slow. Weather this year miserable hot so room was very warm. Taking our own fans now to set up in room. Parking on street across from hotel minimal and used by restaurant goers. Crazy narrow parking garage up the street/hill behind hotel worked though. Called Altstadt Parkhaus.

  Liked: Good location and nice clean room. A lady in reception was very nice and gave us recommendations for restaurants and cafes.

  Disliked: Shower room divider had gaps and leaked water out of shower room. It also would be better if we had a kettle and tea and coffee.

  Convenient but could be noisy

  Liked: The location was convenient, right next to the water. It was nice to enjoy a beer close by next to the water and then walk back to hotel. It was also close to lots of restaurants.

  Disliked: The noise. The location was convenient but very noisy at night. With no AC, we had to keep the windows facing the street often to keep cool. But then the noise was very bad even close to midnight. We visited on heat wave days and realizing the hotel, like most other hotels in Lubeck, did not have AC units in rooms. Some of the nights we were able to borrow a fan which offered a lot of relieve. There are also one night that the staff promised to find a fan for us but never delivered.

  Good for a night’s stay

  Liked: Excellent location, close to everything you want to see. Very helpful staff, both in the reception and during breakfast

  Disliked: Breakfast definitely not worth the price; no bacon, strange selection of teas (more for the afternoon). Very noisy flock of pigeons right outside our window
