  Liked: I really appreciated the staff, both Lena (very professional and punctual, super-efficient) and Fabio (very professional, kind and helpful). The hotel is fascinating, it reminded me a Mann's novel. If you want to enjoy the true spirit of Lubeck, especially if you are a Norwegian or a Swede, stay at Kaiserhof hotel. I was in Lubeck for business reasons, and thanks to the hotel my day was far better, and simpler.

  Great location with friendly staff

  Liked: Great location. Easy to reach by car and walk from the hotel to the city. Room was clean and comfortable.

  Disliked: We weren't aware that we needed to reserve for parking. But the staff was kind enough to tell us another place close by we could park the car for free.

  Good for getting around the city by walking or public transportation

  Liked: I only ate breakfast twice. For me it was not worth twenty Euros. Scrambled eggs every day are good. I like bacon and sausage, chicken balls not so much. I think Americans like some kind of sweet pastry to go with their coffee. The coffee machine is great. The restaurant staff were very nice, and helpful. Although there were no (food) stores nearby, I liked the easy access to the city by walking or the convenient bus stop in front of the hotel.

  Disliked: You need to upgrade the rooms, a safe and small refrigerator are a standard in almost every hotel. The shower is dangerous especially for an older person like myself. The floor is slippery, a grab bar would be helpful. I just put a towel on the shower floor to make it less slippery. The shower curtain has black mold (schimmel?) on the bottom and needs to be washed or replaced. The large open windows were helpful in cooling, but even a small fan would be helpful. The pigeon noise every morning was very annoying, I think a room at the front of the hotel would be quieter.

  Comfortable traditional hotel a short walk from the main centre of Lubeck

  Liked: Large comfortable room in older style hotel convenient for the main sites of Lubeck. Decent breakfast on sunny garden terrace

  Liked: Ein nettes Hotel, komfortables Zimmer und freundlicher Empfang! Die Altstadt Lübecks ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen.

  Disliked: Angesichts der sich ändernden Wetterumstände erscheint die Installation einer Klimaanlage unausweichlich.
