Very good
Magnificent hotel!
Liked: This is a beautiful hotel, with excellent staff and beautiful food available at a variety of restaurants and bars. Service was exemplary. Proximity to the Old Town and shopping was fantastic. We were upgraded on our return trip which was apprecuated
Disliked: It was all great!
Comfy and classy
Liked: Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Unfortunately the bathroom was not as clean as expected. A cleaning product was still in the room when we arrived.
Grand old but still very comfortable hotel with lovely staff and a fabulous breakfast
Liked: Great older hotel. Is it’s a bit dated and dark, but sweet. Staff excellent and caring. The breakfast on the top floor flooded with light and the full buffet was great. Room comfortable but carpet a bit worn at the edges.
Disliked: The king bed had a double mattress seam down the middle that you could clearly feel. That is not necessary, you can use a seam cover. The duvet could have been a full king instead of 2 singles. I don’t like a single duvet.
Liked: The location is unbeatable, right at the center of beautiful Munich. I had a great massage with a masseur called Sinam, which was excellent.
Disliked: The rooms are far too dark, making it difficult to find things even with the lights on at full power. The spa facilities also feel outdated and lack the luxurious atmosphere you would expect. The entrance through the rooftop bar/restaurant unfortunately doesn’t create much of a sense of arrival or glamour either. Considering this is one of Munich’s top addresses, I would love to see the hotel refreshed and given the elegant, glamorous touch it deserves. The potential is definitely there.
No complaints
Liked: Clean room & efficient staff
OK, but did not live up to the hype
Liked: On the whole, staff were friendly but service was a bit slow at times. Concierge service excellent.
Disliked: Small room in the eaves. Little head room. Quite dark. Not somewhere to linger. Single pillow. Michelin restaurant closed. Over ambience of public spaces somewhat spartan.
