Fabulous
The staff need to be more welcoming, and the rooms need more thorough cleaning
Liked: The hotel is in a convenient location, with a bus stop just a few steps away. The room was spacious and bright, with enough wardrobe space for four people. The hotel also has a lovely restaurant with beautiful décor.
Disliked: The staff were not particularly friendly and rarely smiled. When I asked a receptionist about the lion and animal decorations, he simply said they were “just decoration.” After noticing lion statues around Munich, I looked it up myself and learned about the lion’s connection to the region’s heritage. I would expect someone working at a hotel in Munich to have some basic knowledge of this. The room was not cleaned properly. A look under the beds revealed a buildup of dust, which was honestly disgusting. The cleaning standards need serious attention. There were small towels and only two large bath towels for four guests. Although I personally do not use hotel towels, there should still be enough for everyone. There was no hand soap or any other bathroom amenities. Even the non-hotel accommodation we stayed in provided better amenities than this hotel. One bed was comfortable, but the other was a sofa bed that was uncomfortable and too narrow for two adults. The staff’s attitude alone would be enough to put me off staying here again.
