  Liked: The only positive aspect of our stay was the hotel’s convenient central location, within walking distance of Munich’s main attractions. Unfortunately, that was the only thing we appreciated about our experience.

  Disliked: Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience – Nearly $1,600 for Four Sleepless Nights I rarely write negative reviews, but unfortunately, our experience at Hotel Daniel in Munich was so disappointing that I feel obligated to share it with future guests. We stayed for four nights during Oktoberfest and paid nearly $1,600, an extremely high price compared to the hotel’s regular rates. I understand that hotel prices increase during major events, but when guests are paying premium prices, they should at least expect basic comfort, reasonable accommodations, and professional customer service. Unfortunately, we received none of that. Our biggest issue was the lack of air conditioning. For all four nights, our room was unbearably hot, humid, and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, the heating was on despite the unusually warm weather in Munich. We are originally from the Caribbean and currently live in Texas, so believe me when I say we are very familiar with hot weather! We can certainly tolerate sleeping without air conditioning under reasonable conditions. However, the humidity and heat inside this room were absolutely miserable. Opening the windows was not a realistic solution either, as the hotel is located in a very busy central area, making it nearly impossible to sleep because of the outside noise. We were basically forced to choose between unbearable heat or unbearable noise. Four nights of terrible sleep during what was supposed to be a wonderful vacation. Another disappointment was the room itself. I specifically booked and paid for a room with two twin beds and a sofa bed, but instead, we were given a room with only two separate twin beds. I ended up having to push the beds together myself. This was not the room configuration I had reserved and paid for. What upset me even more than these issues was the complete lack of concern from management. I complained every single day. I sent messages that took far too long to receive responses.
