  Comfortable hotel in convenient location

  Liked: A comfortable hotel, close to the train station.

  Disliked: There is free coffee and tea in the reception area which we appreciated, but it would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

  Safe and relaxing place to stsy, friendly staff. Great breakfast

  Liked: Spotless room, handy little fridge in room. Also a room safe. Bed very cpmfortable. Balcony with seating. Good shower. Very quiet.

  Disliked: Bathroom a bit tight for space.

  If (when, hopefully) we come back to München - we will stay again!

  Liked: I think the right word in German is "Gemütlichkeit"... this is a privately run hotel - and on more than one occasion we saw the owner (Frau Maiers I assume) busying herself in the kitchen and generally running a tight ship. The hotel was spotless and cosy - the rooms were comfortable and we were especially impressed with Marcus on reception who was both a gracious & entertaining host - especially in the evening when we returned from our days trips and gathered for a drink in the small but cosy bar area. An excellent concierge - they are lucky to have such a dedicated & hard-working chap! Breakfast options and the variety of food on offer was both generous and fresh! We had booked 4 rooms for our family - everyone else had a comfortable stay too!

  Disliked: There's some contruction work across the road as an old Bundespost building gets converted into offices so there was some noise on our side a little earlier in the morning than I would have liked. A minor negative TBH.

  Great short trip stay at Hotel Metropol

  Liked: Close to train station. Walkable to old town. Free coffee machine. Towels and amenities stations to refills. Good breakfast selections.

Please note that there are limited parking spaces for the outdoor and underground parking. For the underground parking, the car has to drive up a ramp, therefore cars with a lowered suspension are not suitable to park there. Parking spaces are subject to availability. The parking lot is available from 15:00 on the day of arrival and can be used until 11:00 on the day of departure.
