Fabulous
5 stars
Liked: Wonderful beautiful old world hotel in a fabulous location!
Excellent location, good breakfasts, but the room we had was poor
Liked: Excellent location. Lehel is a pleasant area with shops and cafes near the lovely St Anna’s church. Easy access to centre of Munich. The public rooms in the hotel are well decorated and pleasant. The breakfasts were very pleasant - served by helpful staff at table. No self service.
Disliked: Our room (number 47) was described as a delux double but was small. The bathroom was no larger than a cubicle or cupboard. The glass screens between bathroom/shower and bedroom had blinds, but the blinds between the shower and bedroom was broken. Two of the three lights did not work. (we reported the defects but no action was taken during our stay). The conservatory was useful for storing suitcases but not much else. Lighting insufficient for reading in bed. No air conditioning so would be hot in summer. We asked for a kettle but were told this was a security risk! Storage space for clothes poor. The bed was very hard. We asked for an additional duvet to sleep on but this did not make much difference.
