Good location, room more than expected, friendly staff
Liked: The room was large and comfortable with a nice sitting area. Location was good and easy to get around from that location. The room had lots to offer but definitely comfortable and relaxing. My room was street level, but it was quiet at night.
Disliked: the curtains were not room darkening, but they offered privacy.
Not a hotel rooms with no staff at night and access issues when you arrive
Liked: Beautiful historic building in the centre of Rostock with a nice restaurant around the corner.
Disliked: We contacted the ‘hotel’ in advance explaining we were arriving on the ferry and would not be there until 10 pm at the earliest. I got a reply about the travel code but nothing was said about our arrival timeand no indication there was a problem. We arrived at 10.30 pm, the property was locked up and noone was answering the phone. We had been travelling since 9 am. Various locals tried to help us and eventually a lovely man walking his dog called the owners and he was given a code for the door. We found our own room! Staff eventually arrived at about 7am. No explanation and no apology. When we left 3 days later we raised the issue and were told nothing to do with me - its the owners problem. Not a hotel - rooms with breakfast ( which was very good) service dour. Would not recommend if you are arriving after 5 pm!

Liked: The room was excellent, a very comfortable bed and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was just a short walk from city centre.

Cute historical stay
Liked: Perfectly clean and really authentic hotel in a historical building. Really nice to stay during a trip.
Disliked: The doors are not sound proof and you can hear other guest chatting in the corridor but it’s what you expect in Germany.
