  Hip city-living apartment in a vibrant area

  Liked: Very cool apartment with playful decor, a super comfy loft bed and a balcony overlooking the street and the vibrant city life. Location was super central in old town Heraklio. Very communicative and thoughtful hosts who had lots of great recommendations on restaurants and local music and who also provided tea and coffee, some snacks and a bottle of wine! The kitchen is fully equipped and also includes a washing machine, which I was so grateful for at the end of our trip. We loved staying here, getting a feel for living in the city and will definitely be back.

  Disliked: This is not a complaint at all, but rather advice for other travellers. The location means it's a little noisy on Friday night, which is to be expected for the area and part of the vibe. Driving through the streets of old town is very hectic, and parking can be pricey. Our lovely hosts had recommended NOT bringing a car, and when I said I had one, they recommended a nearby paid lot (Theseus valet for €18 a day) and a free parking lot a little further away, but it was hard to find parking on a weekend, so I ended up parking at the harbour P1 for €8 per day, an easy 15 minute walk away.)

  Liked: In the center of the downtown. Nice balcony. Very nice apartment. Comfortable. Everything is working well. Don't miss anything (except a microwave). Washing machine included with soap. Sometimes you even get a free bootle of wine and two sesame bar. Perfect

  Disliked: I did not mind, but a restaurant nearby play nice music, but until 11pm, if ever you want to sleep before that, don't be too much if a light sleeper. No other noise. It's not super loud, but you can hear the lyric. 3e floor, just so you know, if you have luggage.
