  Liked: It was in a quiet area but also walking distance to all the shops u needed. Very modern + contemporary which we loved. Bed very comfortable. Nicos was a great host + had everything there we needed + more.

  Disliked: A bigger seating area would've been lovely to sit in sun as balcony was quite cramped as beach was further away than we thought

  Liked: We had the pleasure of spending Christmas 2025 at New Era, the place is absolutely beautiful inside as described. The owner Nikos was on hand for support from our booking confirmation until check-out. The place is beautifully decorated and has everything you would need, the interior is very tastefully laid out to a very high standard with a little hidden gem of an outside terrace of the master bedroom. The kitchen has every amenities that you require for self-catering as well as a very central location to buy from supermarkets or a 5 minute stroll right into the centre of Heraklion. Yes, the place as described is located in an upcoming area, but also very safe to walk around, quiet and rustic whic adds to the staying in an older part of the city. I would highly recommend this place for anyone seeking luxury accommodation at a reasonable price. Parking also isn't an issue as they are several Carparking areas close by, just drop off your things as it's quite restricted and go park within a few minutes walk, you won't need the car unless you are leaving Heraklion as everything is within walking distance.
