  An excellent base from which to explore Heraklion

  Liked: Lovely apartment. Very spacious with a very comfortable bed. We appreciated the kitchen but found that it lacked implements such as pots. Very nice district, quiet at night.

  Disliked: The bathroom is tiny and prone to flooding when the shower is used. This didn't make a big difference to our impression.

  Liked: The location: a 2-minute walk from one of Heraklion's main squares with bus connections to Knossos and the airport and local bakery chains as well as restaurants (which work in a pinch, but walk the extra 5-10 minutes heading to the Lion Square where several streets before and after are filled with countless better restaurants). Near a private hospital, too. Taxis may not pick you up outside of the main flat so you will have to meet them on the main square. Street is residential, meaning it's very quiet, with the occasional sounds of Mediterranean neighbourhood life. The flat: matches the pictures, modern decor, pristine conditions, and every appliance works as it should. No need to buy anything as crockery, glassware, cutlery is all available, as are basic oil and salt. No issues with the neighbours or the other guests on the other floors. Comfy bed, a/c in both bedroom and living room (fairly quiet so you can sleep with it in silent mode during the summer's hottest nights). What truly made the difference was the host's attentiveness whenever I had a question or doubt, they responded in record time. I had an issue with the internet and they went out of their way to solve it in record time. I would come here in a flash and recommend it to anyone wishing to have some self-sufficiency in Heraklion in a home away from home.

  Comfortable, central, quiet and practical parking by the apartment

  Liked: Very central, clean, well equipped, quiet, a/c and parking. Excellent communication with the owners. We appreciated the little gift! We will come back for sure when in Heraklion again.
