Exceptional
Great location, lovely stay
Liked: Carmen art hotel is in a great location, easy walking distance to all the main sights in Rhodes town. The rooms are lovely and the host is really friendly and helpful.
Liked: A wonderful labour of love from the owner, who is the most lovely and attentive host. The communal spaces are creative and eclectic. Our room was very clean, beautifully decorated and right in the middle of old town. If getting a taxi make sure to get dropped off at Kolona (Port) and it’s a five minute walk to the hotel. When leaving there is a taxi rank at Kolona. I wouldn’t book a car as they can’t come within the city walls and Kolona is easy from the hotel.
Liked: The location is terrific, central to restaurants, museums, and shopping, but very quiet. The owner is wonderful, helpful, informative and kind. We appreciated the special touches in our room. The hotel is full of interesting art and antiques. A real gem.
Liked: The owner was both kind and amazing, The room was very well equipped and in a great location and offered good value for money. The decor in the entrance lobby and surrounds is really attractive.
Disliked: Didn't really have a hotel feel to it. Also if you have large suitcases its a bumpy journey from the bus stop or taxi rank due to the cobbled streets.
Nice stay in old character building
Liked: Great location, character and host very pleasant.
Disliked: Shower bath/ screen made it very awkward to get in.. Air con noisy.
Exceptional location–unique experience
Liked: Exceptional location in the heart of the Old Town, great attention to detail (from the reception to the rooms) and a super kind and helpful host that will make sure your stay will be unforgettable! Thank you for the lovely surprise! We can't wait to come back again soon!
