A magical stay in the heart of Rhodes old town, home comforts in beautifully designed luxury
Liked: Following the cobbled streets of Rhodes old town you find yourself at the town house. You go inside and it is beautiful and historic with high ceilings and rustic décor. The house is on three floors and if you climb to the top you can look out through the roofs and minarets and can catch a beautiful view of the sea with it's historic harbour where one of the 7 wonders of the ancient world once dominated the landscape. Opposite the house is a helpful shop owner who helped direct us. The House is in a great situation, 2 minutes from a supermarket where you can stock up with local delicacies and meters away from an award winning restaurant that provides the best rose cappuccino I've ever had. The air-conditioning is great in the kitchen, which leads out into a lovely courtyard where I fell in love with the garden cat who has two different coloured ears. The master bedroom is very luxurious with high ceilings. The bath is also very special, but do bring a plug if you want to use it. There are great amenities, including a coffee machine and an air fryer! I loved our stay here and hope to come again one day.
Disliked: There could be more bins, for example in the bedroom. If you are a light sleeper, keep the windows closed as you are close to the town. With the windows closed it was fine.

Disliked: If you have issues with stairs / knees this may not be the house for you. Update the garden to match the stunning house. The garden was grand but could be much much more
Charming house in the Old City with very helpful owner living next door
Liked: The "casa" is a splendid house in the old city, a few minutes' walk from the Kolona gate, the nearest point a taxi can drop you. The owner Alexandros and a friend had agreed in advance to meet us at the Kolona gate to help us with our luggage, as we are both now getting a bit frail, and we would have found it almost impossible without this help. There is good aircon on the ground and top floors, but only fans in the two bedrooms on the first floor, but as it was not midsummer this was adequate. There were supplies of coffee and tea and some bottled water to welcome us. The wifi was good. There is a charming little shady garden, and as a cat lover their presence there was a bonus. Alexandros was also helpful in taking care of our luggage till 4pm after we had vacated the property by the 12 noon checkout deadline, and again helping us to the taxi rank at the Kolona gate.
Disliked: The stairs were a problem for us, but this is unavoidable and our problem, not the property's. We were surprised there was no olive oil amongst the welcome supplies, but bequeathed what we bought to the next guests.
The most charming place to stay in Rhodes!
Liked: Such a charming and exquisitely decorated home! This accommodation really enhanced our experience of Rhodes. It is in a prime but quiet location in the old town. We felt very privileged to stay here!
Disliked: Nothing not to like!
