Fabulous
Liked: Pool and staff
Disliked: Shower
Enjoyable and relaxing
Liked: The location was good but walking to the hotel was along a fairly busy road with no footpath. Made to feel very welcome by staff.
Disliked: There was a problem with the shower but this was eventually sorted after a few days of cold showers
Liked: Hotel is located near (300-400m) main road and public transport, many car rentals, restaurants and shops around. 10min walk to the beach. Breakfast was good. Staff was very nice.
Disliked: Rooms are outdated, bathroom gets very wet after taking shower because curtain is too short (and it was mouldy too). It felt really moist and cold at night in room, but probably because of autumn season. Hotel is located near road, so all the noise coming from road was disturbing.
A relaxing stay and would recommend
Liked: The property was within walking distance to beach albeit a busy road and at night it was a little bit scary with the traffic and no proper footpath. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We hired a car for four days and saw all around the beautiful island, going into the stunning mountains. A must is a speedboat trip to Symi where you can get 5 hours free time pretty island. Finally, we would like to thank Stavros the Manager to making our stay enjoyable, Stavros is a very pleasant guy who goes out of his way up make your stay very good, there were a couple of issues first day but without hesitation he immediately sorted and upgraded our room. I look forward to seeing photos of the new renovations taking place within a few weeks and will certainly be an excellent hotel.
Disliked: Maybe cleaning of shower room and toilet more regularly but hit and miss. I know it was the end of season but variety of evening meals were sparse but know in the summer it’s different.
A green and blue oasis
Liked: The pool area was a dream, the staff amasing, breakfast was diverse and very good and the lovely cats a must, I miss them already. Being surrounded by all those pine trees was really relaxing and special. The whole location is a gem and I am sure in short time, once they manage to renovate what's left, it will be a really great place.
Disliked: The humidity in the bathroom lead to mold (we cleared that out with some spray), and the cleaning was some sort of a cleaning (I would have prefered not every day, but then also cleaning the toilet, sink, dusting etc. or at least at some point during our longer stay).
Liked: The hotel was only 2 star but felt much better than this! The pool area was lovely, peaceful with very comfortable sun loungers, plenty of space and was never overly busy. The bar/eating area was beside the pool and was very nicely presented. A good buffet breakfast was served there and meals were available during the day/evening if you wanted, along with soft and alcoholic drinks including good cocktails. We had a deluxe room which was fairly compact but had enough space for us and included a fridge, kettle and TV. The bathroom had a great powerful shower with plenty of hot water. We had our own patio area and a lovely swinging chair to relax in with a drink. All the staff were great and extremely helpful. Stavros, the manager, was always smiling, gave us advice on sightseeing and was always happy and quick to sort out any issues (we locked ourselves out of our room). I would highly recommend the hotel, particularly as you felt you were away from the busy tourist areas and, as it was surrounded by pine trees, it seemed a more tranquil rural setting. It felt a small family-run affair with staff who cared. There is a road running alongside so there is some road noise but we didn't find it intrusive. A five minute walk along this road takes you to the main road running along the northern coast where many of the bars, shops and restaurants are. There's a bus stop where you meet the main road with regular buses to Rhodes Town (20 minutes and if they're not too full), west along the coast and to the Valley of the Butterflies.
