Kastro is one of the most beautiful towns I’ve ever seen, and this apartment is ideal

Beautiful Kastro apartment
Liked: Apartment with balcony garden view across valley.Able to sit in late afternoon and watch local farmers bring in sheep goats. Apartment at the entry to old city. Bed comfortable. Kitchen with kettle hotplate fudge. Bathroom nice with quality toiletries Very clean in old fortress city. Walk 15 minutes to lots of stairs to people beach, cement swim platform with stair entry to pristine water. Welcoming owner who gave helpful advice for walks and restaurants. Wine bar, restaurants X 3 walking distance and small grocery shop in Kastro. Need reasonable level fitness as stairs steep in places.
Disliked: Buses run infrequently to Kastro from port and Apollonia. Lights on outside room all night. A blind may be useful. Car hire or taxi if want to eat in island only 9 taxis on island so need a hire car.

Liked: Gorgeous little nest right at the entrance to the old town, literally in the gateway. The room is full of charm and the location is perfect. The host is really communicative and helpful. Do go to the fish restaurants at the bottom of the steps
Liked: Nikos organised our taxi from Kamares late in the evening and waited for us on arrival. What an authentic setting right at the entrance to Kastro. Close to the excellent Astro restaurant. A stonesthrow away from Seralia beach, bathing platform and lovely fish restaurant.
