Good
Lovely Weekend Trip
Liked: The location is perfect as its not a far walk from the center. Clean, organised and the hosts made us feel very welcome. It's a quaint little place which fitted our needs perfectly and we all had a great nights sleep! (Low road noise, comfortable beds...)
Decent value for money
Liked: Decent value for money, friendly host, easy checkout. Beds were minimal but comfortable, could just about fit a 188cm tall person.
Disliked: Bathroom was very small and the shower had no over head unit, however it had the handheld part.
Made us get out and visit Kilkenny, which is beautiful so worthwhile
Liked: Location good, coffee maker in existence, a dining table with two chairs, couple of stools. Contact while not responding to texts did reply to call when we first arrived at which point we were told how to access the property (would have been preferable to have this in writing in advance). Friendly and relaxed sounding.
Disliked: Owner could have let us know in advance that there is an arrangement with the local hotel for parking, as we ended parking a way round the corner, carrying luggage. No wardrobes or drawers for clothes, just some shelving pointing downwards. Shower cold but was fixed next day. Small shower head fixture broken so can't be raised. No towel rails in bathroom. No lock on toilet door. No system for making tea, no kettle, no fridge. A promised pod to make tea with in the coffee maker never arrived.
Liked: Spotless accommodation, perfect for a group. Great location, walking distance to the city centre. Such a lovely host, left us a thoughtful welcome gift. Would highly recommend 👌
Nice stay in Kilkenny
Liked: It was very nice, the beds were comfortable and there was a lot of space.
Not a pleasant stay!
Liked: It was within walking distance of the city centre
Disliked: Where to start. The ad is very misleading, it is not a holiday home, it is 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The lady who met us with the key called it a studio (nowhere in the ad does it say studio, it says holiday home). There are no kitchen facilities except for a coffee machine a table and 2 chairs. There were ants crawling all over this area! We had brought food to make breakfast but had to eat out. We had booked for 4 adults and 2 kids, and while there were 3 sets of bunk beds, it was so cramped, nowhere to sit but on the bunkbed. It was not clean, the windows are disgusting with black mould. The bathroom is also very small and cold. The heating comes on on a timed schedule and is set to 20deg so it was cold at times. Also, you can't park at the apartment, there is a carpark across a T-junction, that's first come first served. Definitely not a suitable space for 6 people and needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard!!
