Exceptional
Great stay if you are looking for somewhere with friends
Liked: - Great bathrooms - lots of space and good shower pressure - Kitchen had lots of space, well-equipped with dishes and appliances - Large bedrooms with lots of storage space - Beautiful living room/dining room area
Disliked: - While the kitchen was very well-equipped, it lacked basics that should be provided - hand washing dish soap, salt, pepper, sugar. People staying for only a couple of days don't want to have to purchase items they will only use a very small amount of. - The leisure centre felt a bit tired and the jacuzzi water was tepid.
Would defintley stay there again
Liked: Good location, staff helpful, very timely and good service when we had a problem with a toilet.
Disliked: Kitchen work surface a little tired and the taps dripping.
Served the purpose but may not consider again
Liked: Location is central to the Ring of Kerry area. It is very close to the Kilarney National Park and the town of Kilarney. Very convenient in terms of dining options and things to do. We were late in booking so this place provided a convenient rental "house" with 2 beds, 2 bath and a kitchen. So it served the purpose.
Disliked: It is VERY DATED. Feels like they have done NO UPDATES in last 10-15 years. The bar scene is boring. Water heater had issues. TV does not have Netflix and is quite small per current standards.
Liked: Great location, beautiful view over the lake and mountains. Lots of hotel facilities. Staff we very friendly.
Disliked: Stayed in a self-contained house, which was a little dated but comfortable. Dishwasher didn't seem to work properly and the crockery etc were dirty. Lots of tour groups staying at the resort.
love the houses, great access to national park
Liked: We booked the 2 BR house. Wonderful amount of space for a group after a week of tiny hotel rooms. The restaurant was great & had a beautiful view of the lake. Affordable bike rental on site & easy access to the national park. Quiet at night. About an 8 minute drive into town (parking was easy in the lots). Highly recommend.
Disliked: lots of spiders! also beware the washer/dryer combo takes all day for 1 load.
Liked: Very nice terrain around, great for walks, good location. Very good food in the restaurant (possibility to order take out). Comfortable beds in the holiday homes. Big plus for washing-drying machine.
Disliked: The holiday homes should be renovated. Kitchen and bathroom are very old. You need to bring everything on your own from washing liquid, soap to shampoo, shower gel etc. (things provided are not enough and of bad quality). This is very annoying when you come only for a couple of days and need to buy big bottles which you cannot finish or take back home. Restaurant staff not very nice (we waited 20 minutes to order only drinks and staff pretended not to notice us at all).
