Enjoyable stay and great location very close to street food and main attractions
Liked: We liked the location it was excellent and we liked the fact that the owner had used old style Sicilian mixed with new and it felt like you were in a Sicilian property. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable and nice size en-suite. Shared kitchen for coffee/tea and fridge available also with sink and bins to share with four rooms in property- we only saw one person in our whole two days and didn’t hear anyone and the property was full. Easy access and friendly breakfast guy down the road where you get breakfast- for us we didn’t mind this but it may be an issue for others it’s a two minute walk to a cafe and the guy knows you as you will have a ticket and he speaks English so easy. We liked watching everyone coming and going so for us it was nice. Coffee or juice and Sicilian cakes.
Disliked: Nothing there are steps but in most properties in a city there will be - not an issue for us second floor but for some they may need to be aware of them. Felt very secure and we had a great stay. Very lovely lady owner and she was helpful with details on where to visit and suggestions etc. Basically really need all the street food which was lovely so much choice. Sadly with a lot of Sicily the litter can make somewhere feel a little dirty but it seems to be an issue everywhere in the larger cities and driving around litter is dumped anywhere and every where such a shame and we too have it in UK but the scale in Sicily is sad for such a beautiful place.
Excellent host, charming building
Liked: Beautiful old apartment turned into a homestay. Host was amazing, full of information and maps, warm and kind.
Disliked: It was walking distance to the sites but some hotels are closer.
