Exceptional

The most splendid, magical hotel/resort. We miss it every day!
Liked: The photos online don't do this property justice. This was the most incredible stay we've experienced - the room view was beautiful, pools were so cool and unique, the daily breakfast was scrumptious, staff super helpful and friendly, and it was an overall magical experience/our favorite leg of our trip to Italy.
Disliked: While everything about the hotel and stay was perfect, the one downside to be aware of is how hilly it was getting up to the resort - the hotel provides a shuttle so we didn't have to walk up and down, but having more walkability would have been awesome so we wouldn't have to rely on the shuttle.
Fabulous resort with seamless service and true luxury
Liked: Amazing location and views. We received a wonderful upgrade! Never seen such beautiful sunsets from such a great point at the bar.
Disliked: Found the value for money of drinks was poor. Food options after 6 pm are limited to one very high-end restaurant. Shuttle drivers were not very friendly.

Relaxing with sun, mountains and a cool drink
Liked: We stayed at San Montano Resort for 5 days. After driving around and touring southern Italy for over two weeks, it was a refugee of relaxation. We loved the hot mineral pools to heal & calm aching muscles, the cold pool to swim, and the stone jacuzzi's views. The staff were wonderful, big shout out to our energetic waiter Salvatore (there are a few Salvatores but this gentleman stood out). We loved the breakfast choices, lunch with a spritz was fantastic, and dinner delicious. We did take a taxi to a restaurant that specialized in rabbit. It was amazing. And our taxi driver, Giuseppe, was the best! In fact he also drove us to the ferry on departure day. I had a relaxing massage that was well worth the money. And the views, yes those majestic views, can't be beat!
Disliked: While the views were fabulous, you are a bit land locked. The grounds aren't big enough for a long walk and we found ourselves missing the 12,000 steps we were achieving prior to our arrival. Some of the cushions need cleaning and our shower didn't drain properly.
