Fabulous
We stayed for 9 delightful nights and were extremely sad to leave!
Liked: The location in wonderful Portovenere, position of hotel and views from our balcony and the hotel - which were stunning. The breakfast team staff (Lone and Jessica) were exceptional in their level of service and very friendly and helpful - without being intrusive. The young man in the bar and restaurant was very helpful too, as were the staff at reception.The breakfast menu was absolutely delicious. Our room was extremely comfortable and well cared for and I enjoyed swimming in the pool - despite it being chilly.
Disliked: The temperature of the pool and limited access to drinks and snacks.
Location is not everything
Liked: The location was fabulous the view of the Gulf of Poets was incredible. The room was large and clean with a nice balcony overlooking the water
Disliked: The room was not well appointed. There was an adequate size closet but no draws to put clothes in. There were two little cubbies. The night tables on either side of the bed were small shelves sticking out from the wall Breakfast was part of the stay. Additional my husband and I are lactose intolerant. I mentioned this when we booked. I was told there would be plenty to choose from. There was barely anything to choose from unless we wanted to pay 20 E or more for a custom breakfast. The restaurant for dinner was alacart but there were only 4 things to choose from for each category Appetizer Pasta main course and dessert and they Servi the same thing every night. It was also a French inspired. I am in Italy I was Italian food. If I want French food I will go and find it. Needle to say we went into town to eat I really did not feel welcomed
