  Lovely stay in an area of Mantova not overrun with tourists!

  Liked: All of our accommodations in Italy were really excellent, but what set a Residenza Serena apart was our hostess: outgoing and energetic, she really reached out to engage us in conversation at breakfast. (I speak passable Italian...) What's more, when my partner and I encountered difficulty in finding a good restaurant for dinner, she got on the phone and managed to secure a last-minute reservation for us!

  Great location, great host, lovely city of Mantova

  Liked: A host who makes sure her visitors needs are met. She assisted us with storage of our bikes and had information regarding the city.

  Disliked: Breakfast was ok.

  Liked: Well located, ten minutes to the historic center, very comfortable. The owner is lovely and very accomodating. Plentiful hot water, fluffy towels. There is a coffee maker and a fridge in the ‘common space’.

  Disliked: Small things that can be fixed, like a luggage rack which would have been convenient to open a suitcase without having to put it in the floor.

  Liked: Pretty spacious and clean room, host Debora lives in the house and is very nice and helpful, small breakfast surprisingly included for free, short walking distance to the historic old town.
