  Terrible staff treatment

Liked: The rooms were clean and close to hotspots.

Disliked: I made this booking for my mother very last minute as her previous booking got canceled the night before her flight to Milan. This hotel the only available option so I booked it. When I made the payment on booking.com the city tax payment was already taken out. My mother arrived to the hotel at the time she specified during booking. They made her wait 45 mins and was instantly welcomed with complete rudeness. She was having issues checking in online and the receptionist and manager were only making things more difficult by getting angry with her and agitated. My mother proceeds to call me as the city tax wasn’t paid. The gentlemen that I spoke to instantly spoke to me with a raised voice and telling me how in 10 years of his working life he’s never encountered someone like me who denies to pay the city tax. I merely told him in the most polite way that I thought the payment came through booking.com as it’s seen in the receipt city tax was paid. He proceeded to speak down to me and yelling at me to pay the tax. I paid and they let her check in. This review is towards the staff of this hotel. I understands last minute bookings can be more stressful for you but you have to underhand some circumstances are not in control. Your job as a hotel staff is to make your guests feel welcomed. Especially after having a stressed flight not knowing if you have a hotel for your holiday. I’m very disappointed to have heard how terrible they treated my mother and then how they spoke to me on the phone.

Liked: I stayed in a beautiful, extremely spacious, and spotless suite in the heart of the city center. Having private parking right in the center was a huge plus, and the smart TV and cold AC made the stay even more comfortable. Highly recommended!
