Beautiful apartment, but a very very dangerous area

  Liked: clean, comfort, nice staff

Disliked: I want to leave a warning here, especially for women. The apartment was clean and matched the pictures. Unfortunately, my friends and I had to experience firsthand what it means to be threatened with a knife by a masked man. When we asked some locals to call the police, they laughed and told us that the police have no authority in this area and would not come. The neighborhood seems so dangerous that even taxis don’t drive here at night. Because of that, it was difficult to get a taxi in the evenings, and we were forced to take the train. On the 700-meter walk from the station to the apartment, we were catcalled, someone tried to rob us, we were threatened with a knife, and men followed us all the way to the front door. I don’t think I need to explain how traumatic that was. We moved out immediately. I’m truly sorry for the host and the staff that I have to write this review, because they were very kind, helpful, and understanding. However, I feel obliged to leave this review to warn others from going through something worse. We also didn’t research the area before moving in.
