Fabulous
Well run hotel in a good location which I would happily return to. I will look out for this hotel chain in other cities
Liked: The staff were very well trained and helpful. Bernadette at reception was extremely welcoming and gave us tons of valuable information. Ahmed on the door was a delightful man and helped us each day with taxis and local knowledge. These two employees were outstanding.
Disliked: It was very busy hosting a conference or business event which made it noisy and crowded at times for guests who were not included.
Great hotel for a city break
Liked: Both rooms were lovely, well proportioned and equipped, great shower. Breakfast was well laid out, lots of choice, everything looked very fresh and appealing. Great way to start the day, reasonable at £16. Lifts are fast and regular. The hotel itself is in a great location for a good walk into the city, nice restaurants and shops along the way.
Disliked: Our check in guy was very funny and made us feel welcome but he didn't actually explain anything to us, it was just like he was on fire performing a one man show, it was great. Checking out was a little frosty, I questioned being charged for breakfast as I thought I'd paid for that on the way in - it didn't go down too well. That aside, everything was really good, I would recommend.

Stay at Starhotels Ritz
Liked: The ambiance and location were too good. Staff was very respectful and courteous. Rooms were clean and well designed. The entire process was quite enjoyable and seamless.
Disliked: The hotel did not have a ramp at the entrance which made it difficult to carry the heavy luggages down the stairs. Charging 6euro for an empty glass tumbler in the room was quite unreasonable. There was no porter to help with the luggage at the time of checkout as it was very early morning.
Liked: Location, close to metro station
3 Night Break in Milan
Liked: room fairly comfortable, and pleasant door staff and porters, room clean.
Disliked: Hotel Had not made a note of our request for Non allergy bedding, tried to make a coffee in room on arrival but was no Milk or Tea Bags, so went down to reception where i was told that they didn't supply it due to it being in plastic, and was asked to go to the Restaurant by reception to request some. Staff in restaurant were helpful but said that they were not part of the Hotel so i shouldn't have been asked to request it. They did however supply. On arrival back at the room my wife wife had been contacted by reception to say that they thought the bedding was not non allergy and asked her to check herself. After going down to complain we were moved to a different room. Had stayed the 2 previous nights at a Starhotel in Turin who also forgot the bedding, but corrected themselves before we realised, and they also had milk in the room. Bottle of water in room on arrival which wasn't renewed during our stay. came back to our room on last night to find a bath towel and slippers on the floor on one side of the bed but not the other and a half drunk cup of water on the table and our room keys not working, on asking at reception i was told that this was a turn down of our room which sometimes happens, and that one of the staff must have drunk the water. No apology given. Finally rooms both above and below ours were very noisy with arguments going on until around 2 in the morning. Starhotel in Turin was a different class.
