Disliked: I booked this accommodation because of the facilities: gym, pool, climbing wall. After many hours on the train with my kids, I was ready to pay a small fortune so they could refresh in the pool and enjoy the climbing wall during a stopover. We were greeted by a woman who had set up a full spread of food behind the reception desk. It felt like we had just interrupted her delayed lunch break. Empty plastic packaging was scattered across papers and the desk. There was absolutely nothing “luxury” about it. The key handover was quick and rather cold. Once in the room: disappointment. Luxury? Nowhere to be found. Everything felt careless, scratched, and stained. The balcony overlooked a parking lot, had no seating at all, but did feature a bent drying rack. Anyway—off to the pool. The main reason I booked this place. But surprise: the pool door was locked. The gym? Also locked. So back to reception. By then, the food mess was gone—but things got even more bizarre. “We would like to use the pool.” We were told that we had to register 24 hours in advance, including biometric fingerprint registration. Only then—if availability allowed—could we maybe use the pool. However, my check-in information from Booking clearly stated: “We would like to thank you once again for booking our hotel and remind you that access to the common areas - swimming pool, gym and co-working room - is subject to reservation and availability. You will be able to access these areas at any time after check-in, where you will be registered upon arrival at reception. Next to reception, there is a tablet where, after completing biometric registration, you can register to book slots to use the service. All guests staying at the hotel must register.” So nothing about needing to register 24 hours in advance. And this is also nowhere mentioned in the hotel description on Booking. I pointed this out several times. The staff member became loud. Very loud.
Liked: Great location in Milan, very safe neighborhood. Complex was stunning as well. Apartment was nice and had everything we needed, although a little small for the price
Disliked: Staff were confused about the check in process but eventually figured it out. Online booking for the pool seems unnecessary. Apartment was a bit small for the price
Frustrating
Liked: Brand new studio with plenty of space with kitchen and fridge. Safe place!!
Disliked: There was no hot water in the shower (what ruined my experience). Had to book and go swimming pool facilities everyday. Something is not described in the description of the place is: swimming pool available if you book (only 2hr a day and you must use a swimming cap [they give you shower plastic caps] what makes impossible to swim). Mattress could be way more comfortable!!
