  We had a great time in Sicily and the house was an economic and convenient place to do it from

  Liked: Lovely host, didnt speak english but we had fun with Whatsapp translations. Great view of the hills and the sea when clear. Convenient for visiting Southern Sicily. House was clean. Beds were comfy. Cooking facilities were good. Living area was good for entertaining the family.

  Disliked: You definately need a car to do anything.

  Liked: Superb location with magnificent view over the valley to mountains and Palermo, quiet area. The house is clear to see on Google satellite and camera, and is easy to find provided you use gps and co-ordinates. There are many places to visit within 50 minutes drive, from cities to lakes, mountains and coast. The house has large rooms, comfortable and easy to live in. Balconies provide shade, sun and shelter from wind. Air con is effective in the living area and in the largest bedroom. Wifi is excellent. Both showers provided a good supply of water and drained well. There is adequate private parking within the grounds of the house. The hosts were welcoming and friendly.

  Disliked: The oven thermostat does not work as it heats to maximum, incinerating food. Faults with the oven were reported in September 2023 and in August 2024. Three of the four gas rings worked, allowing rather limited cooking. The bidet in the main bathroom was overflowing with black deposits and could not be used. The shower cubicle and base were very unattractive as they require a thorough clean.

  Great views and spacious apartment but facilities and cleanliness need to be improved

  Liked: Great views from the balcony The apartment is very spacious

  Disliked: The waste water from the sink ended up in the shower because of a blockage which prevented us from showering the last morning. The apartment was overall not very clean, eg the ventilation of the furnace was dirty, and there were many hairs in the apartment. The oven did not work when we wanted to make some focaccia. Prior to arrival we asked for a baby bed which we then got confirmation it would be ok. When we arrived it was not possible any more.
