Exceptional
Staying at Mikipong for the week while we explored Tuscany was the absolute “cherry on top” of our perfect vacation
Liked: Mikipong was super clean and cozy, conveniently located to the historic city of Montepulciano, had a well stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed, and we loved the fresh eggs and resident friendly cat that comes with the place. Most important while vacationing in a foreign country is safety, and we felt 100% safe within the gated property, and our rental car had its own covered space for the week. The owners and staff were very friendly and personable and treated us like their family. We fell in love with Mikipong and appreciate the personal display and pride of the owners artwork and quirky collectibles.
Disliked: There isn’t anything that we didn’t like. This property and family management is exceptional.
Overall we had an excellent stay. The house was spotless. The hosts were very pleasant
Liked: We got 4 fresh eggs from the chickens they have. The location was nice and quiet but we did drive to the center as it rained on the first 2 days. Location was also only 15-20minutes from nearby towns. Host was superb at giving suggestions on where to go and where to eat. The house was fully equipped with everything you need - full kitchen, iron, hair dryer, toilets ahd bidets, shower cubicle, dish washer, cleaning services. And the stunning garden was so welcoming. We chose a perfect stay for our first wedding anniversary.
Disliked: We thought we might be able to walk to Montepulciano walls even if it rained but that was definitely not an option despite having umbrellas. Having a car or good weather is a plus. But otherwise, everything about our stay was 10/10!
Liked: I would put 11 points out of 10.. Incredibly comfortable apartment in a great location, surrounded by olives and picturesque landscapes. Very comfortable house with absolutely comfortable details - light, temperature, beautiful dishes, comfortable bed and of course incredible paintings by Micaela ❤️ In common, you can spend evening just looking at paintings and interior details) There is convenient parking place, perfect wifi, the house is very quiet and comfortable to sleep in. And there are cute cats 🫶 and puppies on the territory) cats can be petted if they are caught at night) The center of Montepulciano and the supermarket are only in 5 minutes by car. And it’s easily to walk there.. I really recommend this place, and we will return there, because I’m already missing) Rome isn’t so beautiful)😏 Thanks again to Alberto and Micaela, with best wishes, Anastasia.
Liked: The fully equipped apartment is located is very quiet neighbourhood about 15min walk outside the old town. It is situated in a beautiful garden and surrounded by a pristine olive grove from which you can start your walk towards the old town. We were warmly welcomed by Alberto, who gave us great tips and was readily available for any questions or advice. The apartment is very stylish and colourful, and fits in perfectly with the beautiful autumn colours, particularly those at sunrise and sunset. Alberto is a great host, and soon after we left, we already started missing the complimentary eggs he provided us each morning. Hope to make it back some day. Grazie Mille!
… a magical stay, perfect to unwind
Liked: Everything but, in particular, the kindness and helpfulness of Alberto and Erida. Also the walk in to town via olive groves.
Disliked: Having to leave it 🥲
Liked: Everything was perfect. Clean and cozy apartment, owner super friendly, peaceful environment, very reasonable price… hope to come back at some point!
