Exceptional
Liked: The most beautiful place

Lovely hotel but some limitations
Liked: All the hotel staff we encountered were very professional, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and they left a lovely little cake for my husband's birthday, which was a nice gesture. The turn-down service in the evenings was appreciated. The hotel grounds were lovely too with a little seating area where you could watch the sun rise or set.
Disliked: Even though the hotel was lovely, for a short trip to Venice Im not sure I would stay on the island again. It meant our day revolved around boat shuttle times, which some people might not mind, but we found it restrictive. For a 5-star hotel, breakfast was OK. Tea was always 'warm' (not hot) which is a pet hate of mine and the options were a bit limited.
Beautiful resort to bounce to/from Venice and escape the heat
Excellent and stunning location marred a little by hotel trying to charge for extras
Liked: Unique location very close to Venice and yet giving the perfect retreat from the busy city.
Disliked: The fact that they charge a further €50 to use the pool attached to the spa was unacceptable given we are paying almost €1000 per night for our two rooms.
Perfect Family Escape
Liked: We had a wonderful stay at the JW Marriott Venice. Our room was spacious and offered lovely views of the gardens. The staff were warm, attentive, and incredibly accommodating with every request, and the concierge team was especially helpful. The beautiful pools, padel court, and stunning gardens were real highlights. Although the hotel is large, it never felt busy or overcrowded. Its peaceful island setting feels like a relaxing escape from central Venice, while the frequent complimentary shuttle service to St. Marco Square makes exploring the city incredibly easy. A fantastic place to stay!
Disliked: What we didn’t like was the lack of arrival information. When we arrived in Venice, we had no idea how to get to the hotel. We were not given any instructions, and there was no mention of the free shuttle or its pick-up point. Dragging our luggage around in 36°C heat was extremely difficult and frustrating. My advice is to find out exactly where the shuttle departs from before you arrive, or arrange a private taxi directly from the airport.
